Background: Worked at FAA for 17+ years in safety research supporting engineering and operations certification. Worked at NASA for another 17+ years starting as PM for Aero C&G; and wrapping up as program director for aviation safety in ARMD. Now working at Crown Consulting doing independent assessments of R&T; programs, as well as strategic planning for advanced CNS, ATM and alternative aviation fuels for FAA and NASA.

Current Interests: Applications of data mining to policy decision-making, V&V; of complex systems (or, at least, a framework from which a V&V; can be inferred), and application sets of ATM modeling products. Looking forward to learning and networking at CIDU 2011.
