Dr. Bati has a vast array of experience in the design and development of data analytics solutions and mathematical modeling using standard and open source technologies. Currently Dr. Bati works as a Data Scientist for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). In this role, he analyzes various aviation datasets applying mathematical algorithms to identify risk in the system and improve efficiency. Dr. Bati has expert knowledge in frameworks and technologies, statistical analysis, and various classification and regression algorithms.

In his previous role, Dr. Bati has led a team of engineers engaged in the design of two safety action programs for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) which became highly successful in improving safety of air traffic operation. For his contributions to these programs, in 2011, Dr. Bati was nominated for Federal 100 magazine by FAA’s office of safety.

Dr. Bati has received a Ph.D in Computational Sciences and Informatics from George Mason University.
